- 25 lines per page. Written in medium small naskh in black ink with use of red. From fol. 115 on, black ink only. European paper with watermark. Inscription in Roman script on a label pasted on fol. 1a (repeated in red pencil on fol. 1a): "137Y".
- Copy completed 13 Ṣafar 985 [May 2, 1577] ʻAlī ibn Ṭāhir ibn ʻAlī ibn Muḥammad ibn ʻIrāq al-Kinānī al-Shāfiʻī (colophon, fol. 197a).
- Incipit: اما بعد حمد الله الذي وعد فوفي واوعد فعفي والصلاة والسلام على سيدنا محمد سيد الشرفا ومسود الخلفا وعلى اله وصحبه اهل المكارم والوفا فهذا تاريخ لطيف ترجمت فيه الخلفا امرا المومنين القايمين بامر الامة من عهد ابي بكر الصديق الى عهدنا هذا على ترتيب زمانهم الاول فالاول
