Manuscripts of the Islamic World offers a curated selection of extraordinary manuscripts hosted or held by Princeton University Library. The manuscripts are predominantly in Arabic, but there are also many in Persian and Ottoman Turkish. The manuscript digitizations here are a fraction of the full Manuscripts of the Islamic World collections, housed in Special Collections in Princeton's Firestone Library. Efforts are ongoing to make the manuscripts of these collections more accessible through conservation, catalog record updates, and digitization.

- Text 2 has a table of contents on fol. 52a, and has some marginal annotations throughout.
- Layout: 7-17 lines per page in two columns ; first text is written diagonally ; frame-ruled in gold (first text and opening spread of second) or red.
- Description: Rubricated ; written in nastaʻlīq and general scripts. Catchwords on the verso of each leaf. Glazed paper with visible chain lines, different for the two texts, with several olive colored leaves in text 1.
- Decoration: Illuminated head piece (ʻunwān) on fol. 1b, beautifully executed in gold leaf with blue, orange, black and white watercolors.
- Origin: Text 1 is dated last 10 days of Ramaḍan 932 (1526) -- colophon (fol. 52b).
- Incipit: [دىوان شاهدى] شد خاك راه اين هر سودا نوشت اين شد مكر زروزازل سر نوشت -- [تحفه شاهدي] صچك والليل يوزك آيت والنور رخك النك ندر نور على نور

- Binding Note
- Olive cloth with embossed floral pattern and light green paper around borders on covers. Brown leather on spine and cover edges. Pastedowns in marbled paper.
