Inscription on a slip of paper: "On the inside of the former cover, which consisted of an absolutely worm-eaten dirty piece of modern Oriental cloth(), was written by a contemporaneous hand: رسائل الدامغه فى عقائد الدروز واحوالها م Oct. 22 1902".
