Item Summary

A treatise refuting another composed by one of the learned men of the IXth Muslim century of the court of Ulugh Bey, in which the author condemns the dhikr performed with a loud voice. The author of the present work states in the preface that in 1078 [1667/8] he composed a treatise entitled Nashr al-zahr fī al-dhikr bi-al-jahr, and when in 1079 [1669] he came across this other work which condemns performing dhikr with a loud voice, he composed this treatise to refute it.
