1. fol. 1a-32b: Risālah Ḥanafīyah ʻalá Ithbāt al-wājib lil-Dawwānī / [Muḥammad Mullā Ḥanafī]. Gloss on the Risālat ithbāt al-wājib (al-qadīmah) of Jalāl al-Dīn al-Dawwānī. The glossator completed his work on 9 Shaʻbān 926 [25 July 1520] in Herat. Important marginal notes, quoting Muḥammad al-Sharwīnī, Qāḍīʹzādah, ... etc.
2. fol. 33a-56a: Risālah qadīmah li-ithbāt al-wājib / Mawlānā Jalāl al-Dīn al-Dawwānī. On the demonstration of the existence of the Necessary existent.

Description: Written in black ink with use of red. European? glazed paper with laid and chain lines visible. Foliation in pencil using Western numerals.
Origin: The last text is dated Mārdīn, Jumādá al-Ulá 1042 and signed ʻAbd al-Raḥmān ibn Ibrāhīm (colophon, fol. 87b).
Incipit: [رسالة حنفية] الحمد لمن تقدس جنابه عن ان يكون شريعة لكل وارد ... فهذه فوايد شريفة ونكاة لطيفة وافية فى حد رسالة اثبات الواجب ... قوله اعلم ان البراهين اى الدلايل لكنه عبر عنها بالبراهين ترغيبا -- [رسالة قديمة] سبحانك سبحانك ما اعظم شانك ... وبعد فيقول الفقير الى عفو ربه الحقيقي محمد بن اسعد الدوانى الصديقى قد حررت فى هذه الرسالة وجوه براهن اثبات الواجب جلّ ذكره على ما اورده ائمة الحكمة والكلام -- [ميرزا جان] قوله منهم من زعم ان جميع براهين هذا المطلب يتوقف على ابطال الدورية ... ففيما ذكره رحمه الله اشارة الى الرد على هذا القائل الغير الفارق
Colophon: [رسالة حنفية] قوله واعلم انه الح يعني انهم لم يزيدوا على الاستلزام ولم يدعوا التقدم فلا يكون ما ذكر المتاخرون فى التقدم تاما عند الحكماء كما انه ليس بتمام عقلا لا بالدليل ولا بالد[...؟] هذا آخر ما قصدنا ايراده فى شرح رسالة اثبات الواجب تمت -- [رسالة قديمة] هو الله ربى يحق الحق بفضله ويبطل الباطل بعدله(؟) بيده الحسنى واليه الرجعى تمت الكتاب -- [ميرزا جان] ما دامت الارض والسمآء ويدور فيما بينهما السجآ والغمام وعلى اله واصحابه الكرام صلوة دائمة بدوام طلوع الشمس على صنفحات الايام
