- Layout: 19 lines per page ; frame-ruled in red.
- Description: Written in small script in black ink with use of red. Catchwords on the verso of each leaf. Glazed European paper.
- Decoration: Illuminated head piece (ʻunwān) on fol. 1b, floral pattern of gold, red, blue, green, orange and purple ink. Opening spread (fol. 1b and 2a) within a double gilt frame ruled in black and red ink.
- Origin: Copied by Ḥāfiẓ Khiḍr Ilyās, a member of the Palace Guards Cavalry, in the last ten days of Jumādá al-Ākhirah 1246 -- colophon (fol. 221a).

- Type II (with flap)binding in brown leather. Gold-stamped central obloid with pendants made with 7 gold rosetta stamps and gold-tooled border design made with gold fillets and roll. Light purple silver-sprinkled paper pastedowns and endpapers. Upper cover is loose.
