Item Summary

Two treatises on prayer, the first one specifically related to prayer at sea. According to Brockelmann (who refers to this ms. and Hitti -- see refs. below), both texts are by Muḥammad ibn Aḥmad Ibn al-Jawharī, but in the ms. itself (and in Hitti) the author is mentioned only in the second text (fol. 5b).

Description: 17 lines per page. Written in an informal medium small script in black ink with use of red. Catchwords on the verso of each leaf. Glazed paper with "three crescents" watermark.
Origin: Copied by Muḥammad al-Daʻī [?] al-Jawkhī in 1200 (1785-6) -- colophon text 2 (fol. 7b) ; texts are written continuosly in the same hand.
