- On folio before the title page are a prayer; the date of the death of ʻAlī Afandī, qāḍī of Makkah, 1109 [1697/8], and a talisman against the plague. On title page is a statement that the author prepared an abridgment of the work in a book entitled Durar al-fawāʼid al-farāʼid.
