Pen exercice on fol. 36b. Inscription in pencil using Western numerals on the pastedown of the upper cover, reading: "1129" (see Houtsma, M. Th. Catalogue, no. 36).
Collation: Paper, fol. ii, 36 ; ii + (modern fly-leaves) 1⁸ (+1, fol. 9) 2-3¹⁰ 4⁸ (-1, after fol. 36) + ii (modern fly-leaves) ; catchword on the verso of each leaf ; the quires are numbered using Arabic numerals in the form "Kāf 2" (see fol. 10a).
Layout: 19-22 lines per page.
Description: Written in thick medium large script in black ink with use of red ; watermarks ; water damage (apparently with no loss of text).
Origin: Copy completed on a Friday at the end of Rabīʻ al-Thānī 1103 [January 1692] by Ḥasan ibn Muḥammad ibn Yūnus ibn Karīm al-Dīn al-Fashanī? al-Shāfiʻī (colophon, fol. 36a).
