Physical description: 17 lines per page. Written in medium small naskh in black ink with use of red. The text is vocalized. Final yāʼ dotted. Red dot text-stops. Dark cream paper, glossy, with laid lines and chain lines in groups of three visible ; frame-ruled. Title on tail of text block.
Chiefly quinions. Catchword on the verso of each leaf.
Origin: According to colophon, copied by Maḥmūd Ibn Muḥammad Ibn Muḥammad ibn Makīh al-Shāfiʻī, Thursday, end of ("munsalakh") Shawwāl 921 [Dec. 1515] (fol. 46a, "ʻām").
