Composite codex consisting of three distinct parts: the beginning of the Sharḥ Mukhtaṣar al-Qudūrī , a commentary by Mukhtār ibn Maḥmūd al-Zāhidī (d. 658/1259 or 60) on a compendium on Ḥanafī law (incomplete at end) ; a copy of the Sharḥ Taṣrīf al-ʻIzzī by al-Jurjānī, on grammar, and the beginning of a text explaining difficult words (fol. 60b), both written by the same hand ; and an added leaf with portion of a text mentioning the Iḥyāʼ ʻulūm al-dīn (fol. 61).

Several ownership statements and impression of a circular seal with the figure of goat in purple ink, with inscription "356" in Western numerals on top on fol. 1a. Physical description: Text 1 written in medium large naskh in black ink with use of red, with 15 lines per page (written surface: 165 x 110 mm.), on European paper with watermark ; the text is framed within a single red line on fol. 1b-3a. Text 2 and 3 written in medium small round naskh in black ink with use of red (written surface: 155 x 105 mm.), on thin European paper with watermark. Several inscriptions on fol. 1a in Arabic and in Ottoman Turkish. Leaves of Text 2 stained with water (text legible).
Inscription in Roman script on the pastedown of the upper cover: "61 Bl.".
Origin: The copy of Text 2 is dated 1051 H. [1641 or 2] (colophon, fol. 60b). R. Mach reads "1151" [1738 or 9].
Binding Note
Coarse dark brown leather over paper pasteboards for upper and lower covers.
