Item Summary

A commentary on and emendation to two related works on Qurʾānic orthography. The first is ʻAqīlat atrāb al-qaṣāʾid by al-Qāsim ibn Fīrruh al-Shāṭibī, itself a versification of al-Muqniʻ fī rasm maṣāḥif al-amsār by ʻUthmān ibn Saʻīd al-Dānī. The second is Jamīlat arbāb al-marāṣid by Ibrāhīm ibn ʻUmar al-Jaʻbarī, a commentary on the first work.
