Collation: Paper ; fol. 203 + (1) ; catchwords ; modern foliation in pencil using Western numerals.
Decoration: Illuminated headpiece (fol. 1b) consisting of two large roundels in orange and black.
Description: Rubricated ; watermarks (shield, laurel leaves) ; MS in fair condition with some worm damage.
Layout: 22-24 lines per page ; frame-ruled in red.
Marginal notes. On the title page are two shahādahs. After the colophon and on the four following folios are several poems of poetry in praise of this book and the party for whom it was copied, evidently a vizir and a descendant of the prophet; following this are several verses of poetry by various authors and a medical prescription. On the three following folios is a brief medical treatise by Muḥammad ibn Yūsuf al-Sanūsī, 892 [1486/7]. On the two following folios are a charm, a verse of the Burdah and other writing. On the inside of the front and back covers are the autograph of a reader, the shahādah and other writing.

Origin: According to colophon copied Monday 24 Ṣafar 1229 by Muḥammad al-Ḥalabī in Burj, ʻAkkār (fol.195b).

Binding Note
Type II (with flap) binding in brown leather. Blind-stamped mandorla and surrounding decorations on covers and flap. Blind-tooled corner decoration. Multi-colored endband.
