Copied from a MS of the author (fol. 615b). According to reference sources attribution is given variously to al-Khuwārizmī , Jamāl al-Dīn Abū ʻAbd Allāh Muḥammad ibn Aḥmad al-Qazwīnī, 527 [1132/3] or al-Qazwīnī al-Shāfiʻī. Whatever his name, the author in all likelihood lived in the first half of the sixth century of the Hijrah and wrote sometime after 527 [1132/3]

Colophon: وکان الفراغ من هذا الکتاب المبارك وقت الابرار في ليلة اثنين وعشرين من شهر رمضان المعظم قدره جعلنا الله فيه من عتقايه من النار بجاه سيدنا محمد واله واصحابه البررة الاخيار بتاريخ سنة 1162 الف وماية وستين واثنين من الهجرة النبوية على صاحبها افضل الصلاة والسلام والتحية. امر السلالة الهاشمية والبضعة النبوية فخر السادة الاشراف وسلالة آل عبد مناف الجناب العالي الاميري الکبيري المخدومي امير الامراء ومحب الفقراء الامير محمود جوربجي عزبان کان الله تعالى له عونا ومعينا وحافظا وناصرا وساترا واميناً بجاه سيد ولد عدنان آمين آمين آمين بتسويد هذا الکتاب المبارك لينتفع به تقبل الله تعالى منه الاعمال الصالحات وغفر له الذنوب والخطايا والسيات [السيئات] بجاه سيد السادات ولطف بنا وبه في الحرکات والسکنات ما دامت الارض والسماوات. امين امين

Binding Note
Type II (with flap) binding in brown leather and tan paper. Blind-stamped mandorla and blind-tooled edging on both covers and flap. Quires no longer sewn.
