Lavishly illuminated copy of the Shāhnāmah, containing 45 high quality full-page miniatures and three double-page compositions of the Shīrāz school dated 998 H [1589 or 90]. Likely produced in Shīrāz for the Safavid royal family. Bequeathed to the Princeton University Library in 1983 by Clara S. Peck, sister of Fremont C. Peck, Class of 1920.
