The description provided by the artist: "1 березня у нас були квітки, і голова повна питань. Та наповнена тривогою і невизначеністю. Наші ноги спонукали нас бігти на Київський вокзал. Метро довезло нас до найближчої станції біля Олімпійського стадіону. І ми почали швидко рухалися, поки не почули сигнал сирени про повітряну тривогу. Це зупинило нас на коротку мить. Їхали майже не зкидаючи швидкості також поодинокі машини. Бачили ще військово-медичну машину. Їхала впевнено і десь під Києвом були бої з російськими окупантами. Хто ми? Двоє художників і сім'я Олег Харч і Ольга Шувалова. Радехів. Любомльського району Волинської області. Це за 16 кілометрів від кордону з Польщею та 40 кілометрів до кордону з Білорусією. Тут намагалися артисти знайти притулок у своїх рідних. А щоб не сидіти за ноутбуком у пошуках навали страшних новин з Києва, краще вже додати дров для опалення будинку. Ось такі вправи для тіла, щоб не гнітити людську душу. Все виглядає екстремально, але не більше того. Після важкої роботи завжди із полегшенням було спостерігати на захід сонця. Тому що в небі над кордоном літав охоронний винищувач. Залишаючи чудову білу смугу на темно-синьому тлі. Але я почувався надто розгубленим. Я попросив дістати хоча б десь папір, наш Зять Микола знайшли папір А3, кулькову ручку та дитячу гуаш і я почав щось робити на тих аркушах. Так сталося..."

Evacuation

"It was March 1st, and we held our tickets, our heads full of questions yet heavy with anxiety and uncertainty. Our steps guided us to Kyiv Railway Station. The subway transported us to the closest station near the Olympic Stadium, and we quickened our pace. Suddenly, the wailing air raid siren briefly brought us to a standstill. Soon, we resumed our journey, moving nearly at full speed, accompanied by a few other vehicles. Along the way, we encountered a military medical vehicle. Battles with Russian occupiers were ongoing somewhere near Kyiv. Who were we? Two artists and the family of Oleg Kharch and Olga Shuvalova. We were in Radekhiv, Luboml district of the Volyn region, 16 kilometers from the Polish border and 40 kilometers from the Belarusian border. In this place, artists found solace among their loved ones. Rather than being glued to a laptop, sifting through the deluge of distressing news from Kyiv, it was more soothing to tend to the firewood, heating the house. These tasks became a form of physical exercise to prevent the burdens from weighing on our spirits. While everything appeared intense, it was no more than that. After a taxing day's work, watching the sunset always brought a sense of relief, accompanied by the sight of a protective fighter jet soaring across the sky above the border, leaving behind a beautiful white trail against the dark blue canvas. Nonetheless, I was overwhelmed by a sense of disorientation. I requested a few supplies, and my son-in-law, Mykola, procured an A3 sheet, a ballpoint pen, and children's gouache. I commenced my work on those sheets. And that's how it unfolded..."
