Note mentioning biographical details about the author on fol. 96b (later hand). Inscriptions on fol. 97b. Inscriptions on the pastedown of the upper cover, mentioning the dates 1238 and 1240 H. Inscription in Western numerals on a label pasted on the envelope flap: "90" (repeated on a label pasted on the upper cover).
Collation: Paper ; fol. 97 ; chiefly quinions ; catchwords ; foliation in black ink using Arabic numerals (lost on most leaves due to the trimming of the pages) ; modern foliation in pencil using Western numerals.
Layout: 15 lines per page.
Description: Written in medium large script in black ink with use of red ; some vowel signs.
Origin: According to colophon, copy completed on Monday 20 Rajab 771 (ʻām) [Feb. 17, 1370] (fol. 96b; one line scratched out before the colophon).
Beginning as extant: واشراق شمسها يعد غروبها عن ربوعها واثبتها بعد ذكر السبب فى اخر هذا الديوان ... [1ب] ... فمن ذلك ما اخبرني به سيدي ولده المشا اليه رحمه الله تعلى ورحم سلفه قال كان الشيخ رضي الله عنه معتدل القامه وجهه.
Begininning of verses on fol. 97a: لما رمانى الهدود وملني وحفا وصار محجبا عن اعيني.
Explicit: ما وافى المحبة خقها الا لمحب دايم اليقظان.
Binding Note
Later type II (with flap) binding in dark brown leather over paper pasteboards. Blind-stamped mandorla and blind-tooled edging on covers. Similar decoration on flap (stamped decoration covered with a label). Wear on edges ; rebacked ; disbound.
