Marginal notes in red and black. Two short poems by al-Shaykh al-Qīrāṭī, a poem addressed to a certain al-Ahdal, two poems by Aḥmad al-Khallī eulogizing the Prophet, nine verses in praise of the family of Muḥammad and an ode by Abū Qāsim al-Nāshirī before the title page (f. 1a-3b). Following the colophon are several odes: one by Imruʼ al-Qays ibn Ḥujr al-Kindī, one by Aḥmad ibn ʻAbd al-Daʻdaʻ al-Saʻdī in praise of Aḥmad ibn ʻAbd al-Wāsiʻ al-Qurashī with a tārīkh for 1208 [1793], another ode eulogizing the same by Muḥsin ibn Muḥammad al-Hannād, a eulogy of the Prophet by ʻAbd al-Qādir, governor of Kawkabān, and an ode dated 1210 [1795] (f. 113a-116b).

Description: Verse separators and overlining in red ; watermarks (three crescents; roman-alphabet initials "FC" and "BA[?]"; other unidentified) ; MS in good condition.
Origin: According to colophon copy completed Sunday 20 [Dhū] al-Qaʻdah 1207 by ʻAbd Allāh ibn Ṣāliḥ ibn ʻAl[ī] al-Ḥawshī (fol. 112b).

Binding Note
Contemporaneous? type III (without flap) binding in brown leather. Five gold-stamped mandorlas, a frame of gold dot-punched circles, and blind-tooled edging. Endbands. Possibly a type II binding with the flap removed.
