21 to 22 lines per page. Written in medium small naskh in black ink with use of red. Collation on the margin. Catchword on the verso of each leaf. Indication of the abbreviations (rumūz) used in the text on fol. 1a. Mention of the dates of birth and death of the author (849-911) on fol. 298a. Worm eaten. Particularly fragile.
Copy completed by Yūsuf ibn ʻAbd Allāh al-Ḥusaynī al-Armayūnī, the author's pupil ("tilmīdh al-muʼallif") on 5 Jumādá al-Ākhirah 913 [October 12, 1507] (colophon, fol. 298a).

Binding Note
Golden brown leather over paper pasteboards for upper and lower covers, fore-edge flap and envelope flap. Both covers are similarly blind-tooled with a central mandorla and an outer frame consisting of single fillets surrounding a s-shape running pattern. The envelope flap has a similar outer frame with a circular stamp on its point.
