2. fol. 8b-55a: Mukhtaṣar fī al-uṣūl / Muḥaqqiq al-Ḥillī. Treatise on uṣūl al-fiqh.
3. fol. 56b-96a: [Zubdat al-uṣūl] / Bahāʼ al-Dīn al-ʻĀmilī. Treatise on uṣūl al-fiqh. Numerous inserts pasted inbetween leaves.

Description: Written in black on thin glazed, laid Arabic paper. Rubrication and catchwords; extensive marginal notes. Extensive damp staining, lower edge moldered, and ragged edges; text largely unaffected.
Origin: Text 1 dated 12 Ṣafar 1092 [3 March 1681] (leaf 7b); text 2 dated 30 Ramaḍān 1096 [30 August 1685] (leaf 55a); text 3 dated 1095 [1683 or 1684] (leaf 96a). All texts copied by the same scribe, Muḥammad ʻAlī ibn Mullā ʻAlī Shāh (leaves 55a, 96a). Text 2 copied in Mashhad al-Riḍawīyah (leaf 55a); remaining texts likely copied in the same place.

Type II (with flap) binding in brown leather. Blind-stamped mandorla, pendants, and fillets. Upper doublure is marbled paper.
