Item Summary

According to F. Meier, Der Islam v. 24 (1937) p. 14sq. this is a continuation of Najm al-Dīn al-Kubrāʼs ʻAyn al-ḥayāh by ʻAlāʼ al-Dawlah al-Simnānī containing an introduction and commentary on Sūrah 1 and 52-114; the title Najm al-Qurʼān appears on fol. 17a. What follows agrees with ms. Damad Ibrahim 153, fol. la except that the present ms. purports to be a continuation of the commentary of Najm al-Dīn al-Dāyah, and not of al-Kubrá. Another title appears on fol. 9b, immediately before the beginning of the commentary on Sūrah 52: al-mujallad al-rābiʻ ʻashrīn min Kitāb Maṭlaʻ al-nuqṭah wa-majmaʻ al-lafẓ.
